From vintage and classic cars to muscle cars and race cars, us car guys pretty much love everything that has to do with the automobile.
Today we’re looking at some movie car stars.
Some of the most iconic cars in film history include:
1964 Aston Martin DB5 from Goldfinger (1964): Known for its special features like machine guns and an ejector seat.
1976 Lotus Esprit Series I from The Spy Who Loved Me (1977): Famous for transforming into a submarine.
1977 Pontiac Trans Am from Smokey and the Bandit (1977): Noted for its role in boosting the car’s sales after the film’s release.
1981 DeLorean DMC-12 from Back to the Future (1985): A time-traveling icon that became one of the most famous cars of the 80s.
1932 Ford Coupe from American Graffiti (1973): One of the most iconic deuce coupes in the world.
1973 XB GT Ford Falcon from Mad Max (1979): A muscle machine with a supercharger sticking out of the hood.
Batmobile/Tumbler from The Dark Knight Trilogy (2005-2012): A modern and rugged take on the classic Batmobile.
These cars have left an indelible mark on film history, not just as vehicles but as integral parts of the stories they helped tell.
The movies just wouldn’t have been the same without these special automobiles in them.
Of course, this POV is looking afterwards, considering the movies are already done, and we’re accustomed to seeing the cars that were in them, star in them, but could you imagine any other vehicle in the place of the ones they used? We surely can’t.
